Terra Cotta Pairs
Proximity often implies relationship. These pairs, although not connected, interact visually. A functional relationship is implied, but not specified. The forms reference tools and utensils, but also point back to the organic and anatomy. These pieces were all made during a two week residency at Virginia Center for the Creative Arts. This period of focused work allowed me to explore multiple forms and pairings in a short time.
